Smyths Toys Superstores in Kent will stay open until 10pm until December 23

Smyths Toys is coming to the rescue of Christmas shoppers keen to tick items off their children's wish lists.

The toy shop, which has branches across Kent, is reopening from today under the new government guidelines allowing non-essential shops to begin trading again.

But in attempt to meet the anticipated demand in the run up to Christmas it is extending its opening hours throughout December.

Smyths Toys Superstores, including branches in Ashford, Thanet, Aylesford, Dartford and Medway, will stay open until 10pm between Monday and Friday right up until December 23. On Saturdays store closures will remain at 8pm and 4pm on Sundays.

The extended late night trading hours, says Smyths, will 'allow for increaded demand and shorter queues in the run up to the festive season'.

Smyths sells everything from toys and games to bikes, scooters and baby equipment.

Since the second lockdown began back in November, Smyths has been running a click and collect service for online orders including a same-day option, to help families get their Christmas shopping underway.

This, alongside home delivery, will continue to be available for the next month from stores subject to availability.
