Body Coach Joe Wicks announces #PEwithJoe will drop to three workouts a week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday

It's been 13 weeks since Body Coach Joe Wicks took on the role of the nation's PE teacher, and from next week he's taking more of a break.

The father-of-two has announced plans to cut down on the number of virtual #PEwithJoe classes he does each week.

With more pupils returning to school and lockdown rules gradually easing, the fitness expert will instead lead three live 9am workouts on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

In a post on his Twitter feed and on Instagram he said: "I've loved every minute of it. All 13 weeks of it.

"It's been so much fun and I've laughed so much."

More than 70 million people worldwide have tuned in to watch the classes screened live on Joe Wicks' You Tube channel since the classes started at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
Thousands of pounds has also been raised for the NHS as part of the campaign.

The fitness classes have seen the 33-year-old continue despite an injured wrist which also saw him rope in his wife Rosie for support, carry out fun dress-up Friday workout sessions and change things around in his workout studio to help kids tuning in play fun games of 'spot the difference'. There have also been regular appearances on screen from toddler daughter Indie.
