There are now more chances to catch up with Santa over Zoom this Christmas.

Father Christmas has been inundated with requests for virtual meetings with youngsters since the option was first launched in Kent back in September.

Father Christmas will make calls from his log cabin

Consequently, organisers at the North Pole, have added an additional date for families now to book.

The online meetings have been in even greater demand since the second national lockdown began, which forced many grottos in the county to either temporarily pause or reschedule bookings with some uncertainty still remaining over what will happen when restrictions are lifted from December 3.

Zoom meet and greets, which are made direct from Santa's log cabin, are now taking place on November 29, December 11 and December 16.

Doorstep meetings are also an option this year

They are being organised by those behind Santa's Grotto in Calverley Gardens in Tunbridge Wells, which is also taking bookings as well as offering families in the local area the option of a doorstep visit also.

Families can book a timed slot for the 10-minute private call that they can make from the comfort and safety of their own home - an ideal option for any family shielding or those concerned about coming into contact with coronavirus.

The bookings are also expected to be able to remain in place in the event of any further lockdown or strict restrictions.
