Smyths Toys to open new store in Gillingham Business Park

A new toy store is set to open in Medway.

Smyths Toys is moving into Gillingham Business Park, it has been announced.

It's set to be good news for families who watched Toys R Us in neighbouring Chatham close a year ago.

It will open in Gillingham for the first time on Friday, April 19.

The multi-international Irish chain already has stores three stores in the county - at South Aylesford Retail Park, Ashford Retail Park and in Thanet at Westwood Cross.

In Gillingham the store will be taking over the former Poundland premises which has moved further along on the industrial estate.

Smyths will take over as one of the biggest toy shops in the area following the Toys R Us closure on the Horsted Retail Park off the Maidstone Road.
