My Mum Mother's Day supplements in KM Group newspapers, including Kent Messenger, from March 10

by Lauren Abbott

It's one of our most popular pull-outs and we aren't about to let a global pandemic stand in the way of showing mums in Kent how much they are loved and appreciated.

My Mum is back this spring - but we need your help to make it happen.

The exceptionally popular supplements - in which children draw pictures and pen special messages to their mum for us to publish - is loved by families across the county.

Every year thousands of pupils submit their artwork through their schools for us to print in our KM paid-for newspapers and the My Mum supplements serve as lovely keepsakes close to Mother's Day, which this year is on Sunday, March 14.

But with classrooms closed to the majority of pupils and learning taking place at home we're asking dads, grandparents, relatives, friends and older siblings to help youngsters get pictures of their mum to us so that we can include them in these special pull-outs just as we would in any other year.

If you are a teacher in school working with the children of keyworkers we would love for you to help them send in their drawings too!

We believe that this year more than any other, mums deserve to know how much they are loved and appreciated.

My Mum supplements will be appearing in KM Group paid-for newspapers from Wednesday, March 10 so we need you to get your pictures to us as quickly as you can.

Send your children's pictures to us to be included in our My Mum special pull-outs

In order to get your children's drawings to us we have designed a special website to enable you to upload them once they have finished their creations.

Here's how to send us your drawings...

Get your little one to draw a picure of their mum

Take a photo of their drawing and save it to your computer or phone's memory.

Visit www.KMMyMum.co.uk and click on the picture which asks you to upload your contribution.

Next, you must select the part of Kent you live in and choose the KM newspaper you want your picture to appear in.

Fill in the all-important details of the mum's name, the child's name, your message and upload the photo. Be sure to pay special attention to all spellings as we can only print the details we have been given!

Create a free account and check out.

That's it. You now just need to remember to buy your copy at the beginning of March to see the pictures in print!
