With parents continuing to find unique and unusual ways to celebrate their children's lockdown birthdays in Kent, one company believes it has the answer to keeping the magic alive.

With lockdown reaching its one-year anniversary and thousands of children now faced with the prospect of two birthday celebrations at home, MegStars Parties in Canterbury is waving its magic wand and helping pressured parents to make the day just as magical.

MegStars Parties in Canterbury organises virtual calls and doorstep videos with princesses

Prior to the pandemic the company provided exceptionally popular princesses to join birthday parties or to conduct memorable in-person meet and greets.

But with social distancing restrictions having put pay to children's parties over the last year the Chartham-based company has adapted and says it can now bring all of the magic virtually, with prices for packages starting from just £4. Scroll down to watch the video

From video messages and pen pal letters to live calls, Kent's princesses are helping parents to make some extra special birthday memories whilst days out and gatherings with friends and family aren't an option.

From Sleeping Beauty to Cinderella, families can see the options available at the company's website www.megstarsparties.co.uk and choose the princess they think their children would most like to hear from or see.

Some of their most magical reactions from youngsters have also been posted on the company's You Tube for other parents to appreciate the services available. Watch little Scarlett's reaction to her personalised video from Elsa and Anna below:

And demands for their royal services are now stretching far past Kent with bookings having been taken in the last few months from families living in other towns and cities and as far away as Ireland.

Megan Fitzgerald said her team is also hopeful that further relaxations in restrictions in the coming weeks will also pave the way for the company to expand into socially-distanced doorstep visits too.

She explained: "We can absolutely do videos and letters anywhere in Kent. We are also now offering distant door visits, just in time for Easter!
"Oh and we are keeping our fingers crossed for school summer fairs which we also attend for free."
