1. Spook Academy, Canterbury Tales
Until Sunday, October 29
Young visitors can learn how to scare grown-ups silly in the Tales’ Ghoul School, meet Professor Sprig and learn the cures for disgusting diseases and write spells. There will be a graduation from Spook Academy. The fun runs daily throughout half term between noon and 4pm until Sunday, October 29. 2. Pumpkin carving and Halloween trail, Betteshanger Country Park, Deal
Until Sunday, October 29
Pumpkin carving and witches and wizards are on offer through to the end of half term. There will be Halloween Trail untl Sunday, October 29, from 10am to 4pm, where you can discover 10 mystical sites, creatures and puzzles around the park and pumpkin carving daily also until Sunday, October 29, 11am to 3pm, at £5, including a pumpkin and carving kit. 3. Little Monster Hunt, Bluewater
Until Tuesday, October 31
Half term fun runs until Halloween with a Little Monster Hunt where 12 spooky little monsters, including Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy, will be on the loose in the shopping centre. Visitors can take part in the trail for free by picking up a map from the concierge desk outside M&S on the lower mall – and there’s a prize at the end.
4. Fort Amherst, Chatham
All weekend
Halloween Horrors are back for the 36th year after a facelift and are even better. The nightmare opens on Thursday, October 26, with a twisted funfair, themed food and the chance to get a souvenir photo. There are different tours from Thursday, October 26 to Tuesday, October 31 for children, teens and adults. Teen tours are for ages 12 to 16 and cost £15.50 in advance and £18 on the door, with under-12s accompanied by someone over 18. Children’s tours are for four to 11s and are on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29. Tickets £6.50 in advance and £9 on the door. Visit fortamherst.com.
5. Lullingstone Castle, near Eynsford
Sunday, October 29
Carve a pumpkin with a face to frighten or amuse at the castle during half term on Sunday, October 29. For special events, admission is £10 and children under 15 are free. For details call 01322 862114 or go to lullingstonecastle.co.uk
6. Leeds Castle, Maidstone
Until Sunday, October 29
Listen to spooky tales by wacky witches and wizards this half term between Monday, October 23 and Sunday, October 29 – but look out, as they often get themselves in a monster muddle. Young visitors can see the silly sorcerers making mistakes, note them on their trail card and be rewarded with a chocolate prize. A spooky quest is also available in the Woodland Walk (there is a small extra charge). There will be a fancy dress competition at 2pm each day, a Monster Mash Ball’ and spooky games. 7. UV Bubble Party, Silver Blades Ice Rink, Gillingham

The usual disco session will be a UV bubble party to celebrate Halloween at the ice rink in Ambley Road, Gillingham.
