Tunbridge Wells: Walk like an Egyptian with Kids in Pyramids summer experience 2018
Want to walk into one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World?
Wide-eyed youngsters will be able to head into the Great Pyramid of Giza this summer without even leaving Kent.
A glimpse into the world of the Pharaohs is on offer all summer long at the Royal Victoria Place in Tunbridge Wells, with a new interactive experience called Kids In Pyramids.
The Royal Victoria Place is the first shopping centre in England to host the free experience and the first venue in Kent and Sussex to bring it to young visitors.
Open every day through the summer holidays until Monday, August 27 it is aimed at children between five and 12-years-old.
During the unique adventure they will learn about life in ancient Egypt, be surrounded by iconic architectural elements and get involved in exciting games.
Children can dress up and head into the pyramids, dig in the sand searching for artefacts, find the key to the treasure room and learn about hieroglyphics.
They can also build their own small pyramids, climb on a Sphinx, decipher the hidden codes - and have lots of fun with mummies.
The Egyptian Adventure Tour starts at the Great Pyramid of Giza located on level 1 of the shopping centre opposite M&S.
Each tour takes 30 minutes and children get a free personalised certificate to take home.
A maximum of 25 children can take part in each tour and tour times on Mondays to Saturdays are every half hour from 11am to 4.30pm and on Sundays from 11am to 3.30pm.
