Hever Castle prepares for some Tudor Tales
Step back in time and experience the sights and smells of Tudor England during a castle's Tudor Tales event.
Discover what life was like when English swordsmen ruled the battlefield, learn about the history of the bow and its use in Tudor times, and cheer as men at arms battle it out in the arena.
Wander among the tents and immerse yourself in medieval times as re-enactors demonstrate authentic Tudor crafts, armour making, cookery, weaving and games as well as play music on traditional instruments such as bagpipes and drums.
The event is taking place at Hever Castle on July 22 and 23.
Visitors will be able to learn more about medieval arms and 15th century equipment, dress up in fabric costumes and discover how to put on a suit of armour.
The castle's popular Summer Jousting Tournament will also be in full swing and families are encouraged to not miss the procession from the Castle forecourt as Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn lead visitors through the grounds to the Jousting Arena.
While for an additional charge shielf painting and have-a-go archery will also both be on offer.
