Trainmaster Kent sessions, Hartley and Maidstone

Trainmaster Kent is chugging into Hartley and Maidstone this weekend for more popular train-themed play sessions for tots. Tickets are £7 for youngsters, with discounts available, and the groups include ride-on trains, endless tracks and engines to play with, themed crafts, books and dressing-up. Come and SING! Day, Kent Music, Fort Pitt Grammar School, Rochester

Come and sing is the invitation from Kent Music which is holding a taster event for potential junior choir members this weekend. The event is aimed at children aged eight to 14 and is being held at Fort Pitt Grammar School. The try-out day runs from 9am to 1.15pm and will include an informal audition during the day. Families are invited to Dane Park this weekend to join a community litter pick and some tree planting.

The Rare Breeds Centre is promising lots of fun come rain or shine this January. Alongside all of the farming attractions if the weather is poor there are Meet the Animals sessions in the barn, the indoor Creepy Crawly World to visit as well as the indoor Play Barns for more action. And don't forget the Granary restaurant for fresh food!
