Step into a Tudor encampment and laugh with the King's hilarious fool and merry musicians before learning more about life in the sixteenth century.

Try your hand at striking Tudor coins, feel the weight of Henry's armour, learn more about foods eaten by courtiers and peasants and make sure little ones don't miss the junior jousting!

Diana Holford, events manager at English Heritage, said: “We’re delighted to be introducing a brand new event to Dover Castle this summer and to be bringing its fascinating Tudor history to life.

"As soon as they step through the gates visitors will feel like they’ve been transported back in time to 475 years ago and they’ll get to experience exactly what life was like in the Tudor period. King Henry VIII was famous for his bad temper, but with such a feast of entertainment we’re confident he and his visitors will be royally amused.”
