Events and activities in Kent for Father's Day

It's Father's Day this weekend and there is plenty happening in the county.

Whether you're spending a day with your dad, stepdad, grandad, uncle or someone else who is super special there are plenty of places to find some fun.

With Father's Day in mind we have rounded up some of the best events in the county:

Classic cars at Hever Castle and Gardens

Classic cars in a stunning location with a myriad of food options to boot could be the perfect way to spend Father's Day.

There will be supercars on display as well as fun activities for the kids.

This two-day event is supported by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain with a stunning selection of Alfa Romeos on display on Saturday (June 16) and fabulous Ferraris on Sunday (June 17).

Children can make a car themed keyring in a free craft workshop or have their faces painted as well as all the usual attractions including the Tudor Towers adventure playground, Yew Maze and popular Water Maze.

The Groombridge Place Classic Motor Show

The Motor Show takes place on Sunday (June 17) between 10am and 4.30pm and promises to be a real family day out.

Set in the grounds of the estate the show will feature classic vehicles from across the decades, including a high performance classic display, arena displays and local dealerships.

There will be live music, children's entertainers and refreshments including a Champagne bar. You can also enjoy some retail therapy at the Retro Market.

Admission is £14.95 for adults, £12.95 for children or £49.50 for a family. Book tickets online www.groombridgeplace.com and tickets give you access to the Classic Motor Show and all of Groombridge's attractions.

Barham Vintage Rally

The third Barham Vintage Rally is being held on Saturday and Sunday (June 16 and 17) at Clipgate Farm, Denton. On show will be small steamers, tractors, motorcycles, militay vehicles, commercial vehicles, trade stands and displays. There will also be events in an arena, children's rides, licensed bar and food stalls. Gates open at 10am on both days, entry is £5 for adults and under 16's free. CAMRA Real Ale & Cider Festival at the Kent and East Sussex Railway

All aboard trains at Tenterden for this real ale and cider festival.

Taking place on Friday (June 15) and Saturday (June 16) there will be a wide range of real ales, ciders and perry available at Tenterden Town Station and on some train departures from 10.45 am. Food is available on Friday evening and all day Saturday and into the evening. There will also be live music, activities and a barbecue. Families are welcome.
