Wise Words Festival, Canterbury

by Lauren Abbott

Not everybody knows, say the organisers, but in a secret garden in the heart of a Kent city hides a wonderland of music, arts, crafts and performances.

Hop, skip and jump across the bridge, peek behind the old brick wall and soon you will find the Wise Words Festival in Canterbury - 10 days of silliness, secrets, storytelling and riotously good family fun.

Be it a drumming work shop or fire-side fairytales it's a festival with a dedicated programme of events for children and toddlers alongside it's more adult offerings.
