What can I do with the kids in Kent this weekend?
It may not be as warm as the weekend we've all just enjoyed but things are definitely hotting up when it comes to things to do.
The spring and summer months are bringing with them plenty of events in Kent.
Here are a few taking place in the coming days:
1) Hoo Family Walk, Angel Farm, Hoo
Saturday, April 28
Hoo Cares is holding a fun family walk on Saturday, April 28 at 9.30am, with a 5 or 10 mile route to choose from. The event at Angel Farm in Hoo, costs £8 and £5 for under 18s. Funds raised go towards supporting vulnerable people on Hoo Peninsula. Call 01634 272138 for more details.
2) Mind Body Spirit Festival, Hop Farm, Beltring, Paddock Wood
All weekend
The Mind Body Spirit Festival near Paddock Wood on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 will have therapists, mediums, advisors and more. Entry is £5, including use of the farm’s play areas. Details at .
3) Afternoon tea, Spa Valley Railway, Tunbridge Wells
All weekend
Enjoy a family afternoon tea on the Spa Valley Railway with everything ready for you as you board at Tunbridge Wells West, including finger sandwiches, cakes and tea. There are a few tickets left - visit spavalleyrailway.co.uk for details and to book yours.
4) Hornby Visitor Centre, Margate
All weekend
There are rare model trains, cars and an Airfix D-Day exhibition plus an interactive Thomas and Friends track at the visitor centre. Open from 10am to 5pm, it costs £5 and £2.50 for five to 15s. Visit hornby.com.
5) Carl Fogarty, Waterstones, Bluewater
Saturday, April 28
He's a World Superbikes legend, who also won ITV's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2014, and now he's written a book - The World According to Foggy. He'll be signing copies for motorsport fans big and small from 11am.
6) St George's Dragon Day, Maidstone Museum
Saturday, April 28
Meet Flame, the massive smoke-breathing dragon and his little friend Bunsen the baby dragon at Maidstone Museum this Saturday. Flame will be appearing at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2pm so be sure to arrive in plenty of time. Alongside a trail there will also be an opportunity to make your own dragon and have your face painted. There is a small charge for some activities which is payable on the day. 7) Spring Food Festival and VW Camper Show, Whitstable Castle
Sunday, April 29
An abundance of Kentish produce to sample and buy will be at Whitstable Castle this Sunday. Some classic VW camper vans and Beetles will also be on display from the Kentish VW Klub.
There will be 28 stalls selling food, drink and crafts inside and outside the castle, live music, The Orangery Tearooms will be open all day and of course there's also the sea-themed children's play area. Visit the Whitstable Castle website for more information.
