Get set for a spectacular climax to the week-long events commemorating the Battle of Medway. Some 350 years ago Chatham was caught on the hop when the Dutch snuck up the River Medway and destroyed the English Navy. Medway in Flames will be a sensational finale to the cultural, sporting and educational events. With activities ranging from live music, to water activities and a massive firework display - there truly is something for everyone to enjoy.

Celebrate Father's Day with a trip to Kent Life, near Maidstone. Dads can get in for free and can enjoy lots of farm-related fun. Peppa Pig, every child's favourite cartoon character, will be helping cyclists along the way at the Medway Big Ride. The event includes children's races, sprint challenges, a treasure trail, a BMX stunt show, skateboarding workshops, a pump track, Segways and novelty bikes to try out. The Broadstairs Dickens Festival makes a comeback for its 80th birthday. The Victorian mayhem starts on Saturday, June 17, and will come to an end on Friday, June 23. This year's event includes a country fair in Victoria Gardens with Kentish produce, gifts, vintage wares and collectables. Go along to the castle with dad to have a look over some of the best and oldest vehicles history has had to offer over the years. The four-wheeled therapy will be at the castle, near Edenbridge, on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18. The grand line up will feature more than 50 Alfa Romeos. Supercars at Whitefriars

It's set to be a proper dad's day out at the Canterbury shopping centre as a supercar meet and greet. Plus there's a virtual lap competition for fathers to take part in. Golf fans won't be forgotten either as there will be the longest putt competition. The event runs from 10am until 5pm on Saturday, June 17 and 11am until 5pm on Sunday, June 18.
