Haysden Country Park opens new play area

Visitors to a Kent country park will be finding some new places to play thanks to recently opened attractions just in time for the summer holidays.

Haysden Country Park in Tonbridge has launched a new play area, lake jetty, picnic tables and play sculptures.

The new play area, suitable for children of all ages, includes a climbing wall, spinning disc roundabout, natural play equipment such as boulders, mounds, tunnels and sculptures, sensory chimes and more traditional pieces including springers and a slide.

While improvements to the Barden Lake area of the park include a new jetty overlooking the lake, a new path giving easy access around the water’s edge, picnic seating with a view of the lake and play sculptures for children to enjoy.

Cllr Maria Heslop, from Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, said: "These are exciting developments at Haysden Country Park and I’m very pleased that all the work has been completed in time for families to enjoy the new facilities during the school summer holidays."
