New Santa Special dates added at the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells

An attraction has added more dates to meet Santa this Christmas due to overwhelming demand.

Santa Specials on the Spa Valley Railway are always popular and this year is proving to be no exception.

To enable the heritage railway to welcome more families for a festive experience on board a steam train organisers have added additional carriages to its timetabled service to make room for more visitors and extended the event to include the last weekend of November (November 28 and 29).

Everyone will board a Santa Special at Eridge Station before taking the return journey to Tunbridge Wells West, travelling through the picturesque Kent and Sussex countryside.

Youngsters will see Santa Claus himself from the comfort of their seat and receive a present whilst on board the train.

The experience will last around 2 hours and when the train arrives at Tunbridge Wells West passengers can get off for a photograph with Father Christmas in his sleigh inside the Victorian engine shed before the train returns to Eridge.

Santa Specials now begin weekend services on November 28 until December 20 and then daily on December 21, 22, 23 and Christmas Eve. Prices start from £18 for adults and £16 for children.
