Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World takes the audience on a journey through some of the most notable women in history. From explorers to artists, scientists to secret agents, these mothers, sisters and daughters all have stories to tell.

The production is based on the book of the same name by Suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst, the distant relative of political activist Emmeline Pankhurst, who features in the story.

Kate, who published the children’s book as her first non-fiction title in 2016, discovered her relation to the ground-breaking women’s rights activist during the writing process.

The author has since gone on to write several more books in the Fantastically Great Women series, including Fantastically Great Women Who Made History and Fantastically Great Women Who Saved the Planet.

As our curious heroine, Jade, explores the museum, she meets a number of remarkable women, including Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, American civil rights activist Rosa Parks, pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart and Nobel Prize winner Marie Curie.

The story has been adapted by Chris Bush and songwriter Miranda Cooper, who has penned hits for the likes of Girls Aloud and Kylie Minogue.

The all-female led cast and creative team also features on-stage performances from Kirstie Skivington, whose theatre credits include Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Jesus Christ Superstar, and original SIX queens Renée Lamb and Christina Modestou.
