Visitors can choose between either a daytime or twilight experience.

In the castle grounds will be an immersive Christmas trail which will transport families on a voyage from London to Neverland, passing the home of the Lost Boys, Mermaid Lagoon, the Native American Camp and the ticking crocodile before heading all the way to Captain Hook's pirate ship.

The captivating displays in the one-way trail is promising to be packed full of sights and sounds whilst visitors could also stumble across some familiar characters from the story wandering through the gardens during the day.

The traditional carousel and vintage fairground stalls will once again be back in front of the castle itself, which will also be open to visitors (albeit entry inside can't be guaranteed due to restrictions on numbers) and decorated with Christmas trees and lit with twinkling lights and log fires.

Families wishing to book a memorable meeting with Father Christmas will also be able to do so but slots are expected to sell fast.

Grotto session times are limited, say organisers, and pre-set and must be pre-booked by selecting a Father Christmas + Garden tickets option when booking online. This experience is in a tent described as 'a covered but open staged setting' and tickets to the grotto cost £12 per child with youngsters also receiving an age appropriate gift.

Christmas at Hever Castle takes place between Wednesdays and Sundays from November 21 until December 8 and then daily from December 9 until Christmas Eve.
