Fireworks display and Christmas drive-thru event at Kent Showground near Maidstone this December
The first ever Drive-Thru Christmas Winter Wonderland is coming to Kent.
Phoenix Fireworks from Wrotham had planned to deliver an extravagant fireworks display this month, with spectators watching from the comfort of their cars.
The latest lockdown meant this event has had to be rearranged and will now take place in Detling in December with an added festive theme.
In a statement to ticketholders, Phoenix Fireworks said: "Whilst we are disappointed that the event is postponed, we are pleased that we had secured 'Plan B' dates. The tickets purchased will be moved forward and are valid on the new dates."
Described as a 'whimsical Christmas tour' there are three dates available to book from Friday, December 18 to Sunday, December 20. It is taking place at the Kent Showground, Detling.
Families will drive in through a Christmas tree avenue promising surprises and the appearance of Father Christmas, his elves and reindeer where from his grotto he will be able to wave at youngsters.
Children are asked to come to the winter wonderland with their letters which can be posted on site before families park up for an evening of entertainment which will include a Christmas concert and conclude with a display from Phoenix Fireworks.
Each evening the gates will open at 4pm and fireworks take place at 8pm. Visitors will be able to watch the Christmas show from their cars and in their own 'pod' 2m away from the next car.
Should government restrictions mean the new dates cannot go ahead, they will move to the spring.
Tickets are priced at £50 for a car, plus booking fee, and can be booked here.
