by Angela Cole

Are the kids bugging you for something to do this weekend?

Then join the try to discover where all the mini-beasts are hiding at Kent Life this weekend.

The Bugs and Grubs Weekend on Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12 has a packed programme of bug-themed activities and animal encounters.

There will be a nature trail to find as many hidden creatures as possible and marvel at creepy crawlies such as African land snails, scorpions, stick insects and tarantulas. Visitors can also make a mini-beast house to take home.

There’s also a chance to meet local author Joseph Hopkins, creator of Lydia Greenfingers. The kids’ book, which was released last summer, was inspired by his late nan, Lydia.

While at the 28 acre site, visitors can see less creepy animals, from pigs, sheep and ducks to rabbits and guinea pigs in Cuddle Corner.

Entry for the Bugs and Grubs Weekend is £6.95, £5.50 for ages three to 15 and £19.95 for a family of two adults and two children.
