Free tickets to The Historic Dockyard in Chatham

Ever wondered what happens behind the walls of The Historic Dockyard in Chatham? Always wanted to take the family but not yet made it to Medway?

Well you now have the chance to find out as part of a free taster day on Saturday, June 15.

The Dockyard is opening its gates for free to visitors as part of Medway Council's River Festival.

Families will be able to learn about 400 years of Maritime history and embark on all the family activities the dockyard has to offer.

You can also see the steam trains, learn about the dockyard in wartime, visit its collection of RNLI lifeboats and try out the children's play area when stopping for a picnic!

Families keen to visit with the free tickets on offer must register in advance if they wish to attend on June 15.

Once successfully registered, you will be emailed a reference number that you must bring with you on the day.

Visitors are asked to note that parking onsite on June 15 will be limited to blue badge holders only and that other visitors are asked to use public transport or other car parks.

The Dockyard's three historic ships and temporary exhibition A Pirate’s Life for Me, will also not be accessible to visitors on the day.
