The charity says it will be a chance for households to enjoy the great outdoors this winter while also doing ‘something fantastic for nature’.

It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the National Nature Reserve and the important wildlife that calls the protected beach their home.

The event is taking place on Monday, February 12 - which is during the half term break – between 10am and noon.

Children are welcome, says the charity, providing they are supervised at all times.

Families wishing to take part must book online in advance here – taking part is free.

Teams will be cleaning the Hoverport and Pegwell beach, with further details about meeting points also available on the event’s website.
