These two huge artists will join the likes of Busted, JLS and Jess Glynne at the town’s vintage fairground, Dreamland, next summer.

The Margate Summer Series, which this year featured headline performances from chart-topping artists such as Tom Jones, McFly and Olly Murs, returns from Friday, July 5.

The series will open with singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti, who is known for his acoustic folk singles including Soldiers Eyes, Candlelight and When We Were Lovers.

The following day, on Saturday, July 6, boyband JLS will be performing their greatest hits as part of their reunion tour.

The four-piece group of Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill rose to fame after competing on the X Factor in 2008 and topped the chart with their first two singles Beat Again and Everybody in Love.

Pop rock trio Busted, who have recently completed a sell-out 20th anniversary tour at arenas around the county, will be playing at Dreamland on Friday, August 23.

The group, who released huge hits such as What I Go To School For, Year 3000 and Air Hostess before their split in 2005, reunited in 2015 and will be bringing their high-energy set to Kent fans next summer.

Tickets to all Margate Summer Series concerts are available to book online here.

Rob Waller, founder and programmer of the Margate Summer Series, said: “We cannot wait to bring the Margate Summer Series back for 2024, and we’re delighted to announce the first wave of artists for next year.

“We have been so overwhelmed by the response to us launching the series – the support from the public and local people has been incredible. Margate is a very special town and Dreamland is the most brilliant setting for artists and revellers alike.

“With a capacity of up to 7,500, it has an intimate feel in comparison to a typical arena show for many of these artists. We couldn’t be more excited about what will be our most exciting and diverse line-up yet. Margate – get ready to party!”
