Folkestone sandcastle competition takes place on Sunday, July 21 at Sunny Sands

Could your family be king - or queen - of the sandcastle?

A Kent seaside town is once again looking for teams to take part in its annual competition being held this Sunday.

Sunny Sands beach in Folkestone will be a hive of sandcastle building activity this weekend as teams battle it out to create their sand masterpieces.

The event, which raises money for charity, begins at 9am and will run until 1pm.

Teams are asked for a minimum donation of £10 to join the fun filled challenge. And groups can either enter themselves in advance or simply turn up on the day.
