Busted, Jess Glynne and Kaiser Chiefs announce Dreamland concerts as part of the Margate Summer Series 2024
Noughties boyband Busted, Jess Glynne and Kaiser Chiefs will all play huge headline concerts in Kent next summer.
All will perform at Dreamland in Margate as part of next year’s Margate Summer Series.
The indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs will play on April 13 and I’ll Be There singer Glynne is performing on July 26.
While Jess Glynne will be giving fans an open-air experience, Kaiser Chiefs – made up of Andrew White, Simon Rix, Ricky Wilson, Nick Baines and Vijay Mistry – will play in The Hall Be The Sea.
Busted will take to the stage later in the summer on August 23.
Legendary rock band Status Quo have already announced their gig for August 15.
Musicians Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne first rose to fame as Busted with the release of their debut single What I Go To School For in 2002.
The pop-rock band went on to release a number of hit singles including Crashed The Wedding, Who’s David and Year 3000 before announcing their split in 2005.
However, in 2013 guitarist James Bourne and bassist Matt Willis formed boyband supergroup McBusted with members of McFly and performed songs from both bands’ back catalogues.
In 2015, Charlie Simpson returned to the band and the original members of Busted reunited to tour the UK. They then released their first album together since 2003, Night Driver, the following year.
The band have recently completed a nationwide arena tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary, including sell-out shows at the O2 Arena in London.
This year’s Margate Summer Series included concerts from the likes of Tom Jones, Queens of the Stone Age, Olly Murs and Bastille.
Further concerts for next summer are expected to be announced soon.
