Chinese New Year celebrations, Chatham and Maidstone

Chinese New Year celebrations take place in Chatham and Maidstone town centres this weekend. Parades, singing, live music and plenty of colour and costume will be part of the free events. RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

Could you spare an hour of your time to help our feathered friends? People across Kent can spend just 60 minutes recording the birds and other wildlife found in their gardens or nearby green spaces in order to contribute to a wider survey by the RSPB. Model Railway Show, Teynham near Sittingbourne
Sunday, January 26
Tickets are just £1 for children and £2.50 for adults to go and see the large layouts on display at this Model Railway Show. With both electric and live steam power there will be lots to see and learn.
Refreshments will be available and car parking is free. The event takes place from 11am until 4pm at Teynham Village Hall in Belle Friday Close.
Trainmaster Kent, Wigmore Scout Hut, Gillingham

Train-themed play events are taking place in Gillingham this weekend. Perfect for train-mad tots, there are tickets to purchase for two sessions on Sunday.
