Groombridge Place near Tunbridge Wells unveils Christmas events for 2020 including Santa and a festive wishing tree

Visit the festive wishing tree and see Santa on his sleigh as part of a magical visit to a Kent attraction this Christmas.

Groombridge Place is promising the perfect festive family day out.

Between Wednesday, December 16 and Christmas Eve the secret garden with its gentle stream and wooden bridge is set to be transformed into a Christmas scene including the addition of a wishing tree for youngsters to add their Christmas wishes too.

Visitors will also be able to catch sight of Santa who will be making regular journeys around the picturesque sight in his sleigh along with his naughty elves and there will also be Punch and Judy shows taking place from December 19 that can be watched in family groups.

One way systems where required, enhanced hygiene and social distancing measures will all be in place to ensure the safety of both staff and visitors says the attraction near Tunbridge Wells.

A ticket for four people, with just one required to be under the age of 12, is £25. Alternatively individual adults are £8.95, children £6.95 and pre-walking infants free.

Groombridge Place is currently closed because of November's lockdown but is set to reopen at the beginning of December when restrictions are expected to be lifted.

Tickets for Christmas events can now be pre-booked which families are advised to do in advance because social distancing means that numbers are restricted each day.
