Enjoy croquet with the Queen of Hearts or hat making with the Mad Hatter in a magical event which can be found at the bottom of a rabbit hole this summer.

Families who leap into 'Westwoodland' could find fun and adventure just like Alice.

That's the offer from a Kent shopping centre which is hosting a raft of Alice in Wonderland themed events for the school summer break.

Events take place during the week

Coined 'Westwoodland' by staff at Westwood Cross in Thanet, activities will take place on select weekdays from July 27 until August 12.

Francesca Donovan, Centre Manager at Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming thousands of families to the centre this summer. We want to offer our guests a fun-filled day out to keep the children entertained throughout the holidays.”

There are a raft of activities to keep families busy during the school holidays

Young visitors to the shopping centre will be able to challenge the Queen of Hearts to a game of croquet using flamingo putters to get hedgehog balls through card croquet hoops.

The Mad Hatter will also be in town helping aspiring milliners create hats from a variety of materials and the White Rabbit will be in the centre hosting clock making crafts!

And even Alice herself will make a number of appearances for storytelling sessions.
