This special event marks the 350th anniversary of the Dutch raid that took place in June 1667.

A programme of activities and events has been designed around what is set to be a memorable weekend.

Dust off your top hats and bonnets for the annual Dickensian event that will sweep through Rochester over the coming days.

Well here's something a little different for your weekend - a Strawberry Fair.

The event celebrates the first fruit of the season with an event for all the family to enjoy.

Discover rare & unusual strawberry variety’s grown in Kent sip a glass of Pimms, enjoy a slice of strawberry cake in the tearoom while listening to live music.

Little ones can get stuck into crafts, discover the fairy trail, traditional games & more. Meet the animals, take a ride on the miniature railway and have a go at archery.

Open Farm Sunday

Open Farm Sunday will see farms all around the county open up their doors, or gates, to the public so that they can see what life on the farm is all about.

There are opportunities to meet the animals, enjoy tractor rides and refreshments from local producers.

A musical folk tale told by miniature scale comes to the stage, suitable for those aged seven and over.

The Woodlands Festival at Elm Wood, off Risden Lane, Hawkhurst, takes place from Friday, June 9, to Sunday, June 11.

Alongisde a complete line-up of live music there will be a range of woodland activities including treasure hunts, storytelling and bush craft adventures, as well as an Enchanted Forest Disco.

There is still time to catch it in cinemas. The latest in the Pirates of the Caribbean series has already sailed into theatres.
