It's a big weekend in Kent for events with fireworks displays taking place across the county - but there's plenty of other fun to be had before the big bangs after dark.

Here's our round-up of some of the best event for families this Saturday and Sunday...

A selfie factory is coming to Bluewater shopping centre in Dartford (20484848)

Be one of the first to take a look back inside Bluewater's Selfie Factory when it returns for another visit in the run up to the festive season .

More than 100 lit HGVs will be taking to the track this weekend

British Truck Racing and Fireworks, Brands Hatch

Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3

A twilight convoy of more than 100 HGVs will take to the race circuit with lights abalze in a truly unique spectacle on Sunday evening which takes place alongside the fireworks display. There is also racing on the track on both Saturday and Sunday during the day perfect for petrol heads big and small. Full details here.

Children will enjoy the trains at Gravesend Model Railway Show

Gravesend Model Railway Exhibition, Northfleet School for Girls, Hall Road

Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3

Children under 16m accompanied by a full paying adult, can see the trains and layouts for free at this popular exhibition this weekend. Adult tickets are £5 and the event is running 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday. There is free parking on site and both hot and cold food and drink available. More details here.

Howletts Halloween 5k Run, Bekesbourne near Canterbury

Taking place within the grounds of Howletts Wild Animal Park but with a spooky twist, the route takes you across the site which is opened exclusively for the 9.3#0am run. Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs: The Magic Cutlass, Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone

When Flinn, Pearl and Tom are in the middle of their school play their old nemesis Mr T the T-Rex kidnaps the children forcing them to hunt for the secretive Magic Cutlass; a sword that grants the holder any wish! The children are whisked away for another fantastic adventure to a world of devious dinosaurs, deep sea dangers and smelly sausages!
