Sugar, lemon...a pug and flamingo?

Expect to be asked for all four on the children's pancakes this year as the latest food fad flies into the high street.

Making faces and features out of pancakes has long been a favourite subject for social media videos - but now your family can join the trend with some Insta-worthy picture-perfect pancakes of your own.

Pankcake day is on Tuesday, March 5

Ahead of Pancake Day on Tuesday, March 5 George at Asda, alongside Tefal, Very and JD Williams have all released pancake pans with pictures on to help you to create some flippin good art for the dinner table.

With all the latest animal trends included in outline form - from the pug to the flamingo and unicorn - you don't need to rely on your artistic skills to turn out the perfect picture pancake, but instead simply copy the image using your own batter mix and the bottle included.

Here's where you can get your hands on everything you need to make a work of art out of this year's teatime treat:

JD Williams pancake pan, £15
Flamingo pancake anyone? A JD Williams pan with flamingo outline is available for £16.
Twit-twoo! Very.co.uk is selling this pan with an owl print and squeeze bottle for £19.99.
The base of the frying pans carry the same fun picture
Pug on a pancake!
Unicorn pancake pan from Tefal is available at George at Asda. Now £12.
