But the attraction on Walmer Green is weather dependent so visitors are strongly advised to check it is open before they travel to the traditional paddling pool.

The Strand in Gillingham is also preparing to welcome its first visitors of 2019. According to the attraction's facebook page it is getting ready to open to swimmers from Saturday, May 25 when it begins its summer season in Medway.

The splash pool in Swanley Park and the outdoor heated pool in Tonbridge both opened in April.
