Head to Margate, pass go and you could collect £200!

Dreamland is organising an entire day of Monopoly-related mischief on Saturday, June 1.

The event is being held to celebrate a new Margate edition of the famous board game - with Dreamland appearing in the coveted Mayfair spot.

And what's more - families can join the fun for free as the Thanet park continues its new admission policy of allowing visitors to come inside the attraction for nothing.

Activities on Saturday, June 1 will include races around a giant Monopoly board, chance to win spot prizes related to the game's challengers, flip the board contests and a scavenger hunt across the park.

Guests of all ages can come into Dreamland for free to see everything in action and take part in challenges.

But those wishing to board Dreamland's rides can then either pay per ride if they wish or buy discounted unlimited ride wristbands in advance online.

Dreamland's free Easter events were exceptionally popular with families

Monopoly Day is the latest family event launched by Dreamland for 2019 and follows the park's exceptionally popular Camp Bestival takeover during the Easter holidays, which saw thousands of families descend on the seaside attraction for rides, live acts, DJs and family entertainment.

The popular family festival held in Dorset each July spent a two week holiday at the park which culminated in a party on Easter Sunday led by festicuratorator and DJ Rob da Bank.
