Fire sculptures and pyrotechnic performances will light up a sporting venue as it celebrates the turning of the seasons and the changing of the clocks.

Firespring is taking place on Saturday, March 26 and is free.

The magical fire-filled, nighttime experience is being organised by sporting venue Cyclopark and will begin as darkness falls at 6.30pm.

Cyclopark's tracks will be transformed into a garden of fiery delights.

Pick your way through hundreds of fire pots around the BMX track, see extraordinary fire sculptures and spectacular firework moments performed by dancers, BMX riders, local volunteer cyclists and the Strictly Cycling Team.

A Firespring bike train will also be meeting in front of Gravesham's Civic Centre in Windmill Street at 6pm before leaving for a short ride to the Cyclopark on the edge of the A2.

Riders can join in the cycling event by lighting their bikes with as many lights, fairy lights and reflectives as possible to continue Firespring's theme.

Mike Stevens, interim CEO for Cyclopark, said: “Whether you are a new visitor to Cyclopark or not, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring family and friends and see the park in a different light for what is likely to be a landmark event.

"There will be plenty for all ages to see and you will never think of cycling in the same way again.”

Parking is available on the Cyclopark site at The Tollgate. The event will finish at 9pm.
