Enchanted Lantern Festival at Walmer Castle and Gardens near Deal

Step into a castle's award-winning gardens after dark and experiencing its magical lantern festival.

Walmer Castle and Gardens near Deal will be putting on a serene and enchanting show of lantern light for families.

The event takes please from Friday, December 15 until Monday, December 18 between 5pm and 8pm each evening.

After enjoying the enchanted trail through the castle's picturesque gardens you can hand craft your very own lantern adding your own touch to the magic by then making it a part of the display.

Visitors are then being invited to finish off their evening with mugs of hot chocolate in the castle.

Tickets to the lantern festival should be pre-booked with English Heritage by calling 0370 333 1183.

Tickets are £11 an adult and £8 for children but there are discounts for English Heritage members.
