A fireworks display will swap the traditional bonfire for a musical laser show this year.
Great Lines Heritage Park in Medway will be hosting the Towns’ biggest free fireworks night on Saturday (November 2).
However, this year there’s no bonfire after the council was unable to secure a contractor.
It was supposed to be lit by Mayor of Medway Cllr Habib Tejan at 7pm. Instead, the sky will be lit up with laser beams followed by the fireworks at 7.30pm.
There will be hot food and drinks available but there are no public toilets provided.
People are not allowed to bring their own fireworks or sparklers and pets are not allowed.
There is no parking on site and families are advised to use Britton Farm car park, in Jeffery Street, Gillingham. There will also be some road closures on surrounding routes before and after the display.
