Disney fans eagerly anticipating the latest live-action remake of Mulan will be able to finally watch the film from this Friday.
Based on the original 1998 Disney animation about the female Chinese warrior, Mulan was first set to be released to cinemas back in March.
But the coronavirus pandemic put pay to big screen showings as countries went into lockdown and the film's release was delayed until July before being put back again as cinemas edged out of lockdown and steadily welcomed cinema goers back in a socially distanced way.
Disney has now taken the decision to release the film directly to its home streaming channel Disney+ where it will be available to download and stream to subscribers who pay an additional fee from Friday, September 4.
The cost of Premier Access to Mulan is £19.99 and is in addition to the cost of a Disney+ monthly or yearly subscription.
It will enable those who have bought the Premier Access to watch the film as many times as they wish on any platform where Disney+ is available and will continue for as long as a customer subscribes to the streaming channel.
Mulan is the latest Disney film to be turned into a live-action remake.
Dumbo, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp and Aladdin are also amongst the animated films to have been given a second lease of life.
