A Kent castle is preparing to let down the drawbridge on two much-anticipated new attractions this Saturday.

Leeds Castle has spent months constructing the Knights' Stronghold Playground and Adventure Golf.

Both will be opened on Saturday (April 13) by children's television presenter Ben Cajee from Cbeebies.

The huge new adventure playground, suitable for children aged up to 14, is modelled on the design of Leeds Castle and includes spiralling slides, fireman’s poles, giant cargo nets and zip wires.

The golf course has also been modelled on the castle, with more challenging holes themed to daily attractions, such as falconry and the Maze.

Using artificial grass, rocks, sand and planting it will be open all year round whatever the weather.

Adventure Golf is located near the castle Maze where games lasting around 40 minutes can be played for a small additional charge.

The opening of the two new family attractions are part of a landmark year for Leeds Castle near Maidstone, which is celebrating its 900th anniversary this year.

A Leeds Castle admission ticket grants free repeat visits for a whole year from the date of issue. For more information about ticket prices and the new attractions visit www.leeds-castle.com
