Bike hire at Betteshanger Country Park near Deal reopens

A country park has reopened its bike hire.

Betteshanger Country Park near Deal began welcoming back its first visitors on June 1.

It was one of the first open spaces to reopen as government restrictions to control the coronavirus began the first stages of relaxing.

With its vast walking and cycling routes, and numerous places to picnic, the park has been a popular visitor spot with families looking to enjoy a different outside space.

The park announced on Friday (June 19) as part of the next stage in its reopening that its bike hire facility was now open good.

With both adults and children's bikes available to hire, as well as smaller seats suitable for babies and toddlers, the park is giving visitors another option for a family day out in the midst of social distancing.

Bike hire starts from £6 an hour for a bike and both cash and card payments are accepted.
There is no option to pre-book so any potential visitors interested are recommended to arrive early.
