Chatham Dockyard's half term events including A Pirates's Life for Me exhibition

A swashbuckling adventure awaits visitors to The Historic Dockyard this half term thanks to a fantastic pirate-themed exhibition coming straight from London.
Anchoring at the Chatham Maritime attraction is the latest popular exhibition from the V&A Museum of Childhood - A Pirate's Life For Me.
The Dockyard is the first venue for the exhibition's tour.
Displays explore the history and impact of pirates's in children's culture through displays which include toys, books, illustrations, games, costumes and photographs.
Children can burn off some energy whilst exploring the huge wooden Pirate ship, pretend to be the Captain and 'steer' the ship and take part in some pirate-themed half term activities between May 25 and June 2.
These include making treasure maps and flags, learning how to use a telescope and creating pirate compasses complete with pirate missions to complete.
A ticket to The Historic Dockyard in Chatham lasts for a year to enable families to visit time and time again.
