Forget scorching Septembers and record temperatures - this year's LEGO advent calendars for Christmas 2020 are here.
Often the first to sell out and the hardest to get hold of the closer to the festive season we get, the boxes of 24 brick-based surprises are now hitting the shelves. We take a look at this year's range...
1. LEGO Friends Advent Calendar, £19.99
Available now and suitable for children aged six and above
'Super cute Christmas characters' are said to be hidden inside this LEGO Friends 2020 calendar.
There are three themes - Emma's room, Santa's toy workshop and a winter wonderland and as you work your way through the doors throughout December, collectors can progress to each setting with a festive feel.
Models include a LEGO Friends Mrs Claus and two elf mini-doll figures alongside a fun snowball-launching catapult and a toy skateboard that rolls.
2. LEGO City Advent Calendar, £19.99
Due for release on September 25 and suitable for children aged five and upwards
This calendar comes with a snowy city play mat to enable youngsters to build their own Christmas scenes as they collect the items behind each door.
Amongst the 342-piece set is six LEGO City tv character minifigures, including Duke DeTain, Harl Hubbs, Freya McCloud, Rooky Partnur, Daisy ‘Kaboom' and a Christmassy Chief Wheeler complete with Santa costume.
The calendar is set to be released later this month.
3. LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar , £24.99
Temporarily out of stock at lego.com but suitable for children aged seven and above
Behind each of the 24 doors is a Star Wars LEGO minifigure, LEGO figure, buildable starship, vehicle or location. Collectors have the chance to get their hands on Darth Vader with a Christmas sweater decoration and D-O with a festive hat, plus there is also a foldout playmat with an image of the Millennium Falcon with Christmas lights to inspire creative play.
Amongst the 12 mini build toys in the 311-piece set are the Millennium Falcon, an A-wing, TIE Fighter, X-wing, Droid Control Ship, Anakin’s Podracer and Darth Vader’s Castle.
4. LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar, £24.99
Available now and suitable for children seven and above
Celebrate Christmas in the Wizarding World with the Harry Potter 2020 advent calendar.
Behind each of the 24 doors is a different toy or figure from the Harry Potter series.
The calendar contains minifigures – including Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Padma Patil, Parvati Patil and Cho Chang – and buildable models including a miniature Beauxbaton’s carriage and a dining table with ice-castle centerpiece.
As you get closer to opening all 24 doors you will be able to recreate various Hogwarts holiday scenes – including the amazing Yule Ball!
