Are you a sports coach, music or dance teacher? Do you know a child who is making great achievements in sports, music, visual or performing arts despite a disability?

Every year an extra special group of courageous Kent youngsters show us life is for living - they are our annual Ward and Partners Children’s Awards winners.

And the nomination period to find this year’s brave and inspiring bunch has now opened and among the categories seeking nominations is 'Going for Gold'.

Music teachers, dance teachers and sports coaches are all being asked to consider a nomination

This week we're calling on all sports clubs, coaches, choirs, dance schools, music teachers and performing arts schools to consider whether there is a child in their midst that is deserving of some extra special recognition.

We're looking for children and young people who are excelling in their chosen hobby whilst living with a disability.

Nominating a child for a Children's Award is quick and easy, and can be done online at www.kentonline.co.uk/wardawards

Do you know a child Going for Gold?

Maybe this superstar sports hero is in a team you coach or your child plays in, do you you sing in a choir alongside a young person you think is outstanding or perhaps there's a child in one of your school sports teams who gives 110% every week despite facing other challenges off the pitch or court.

We'd love to know more about your nominee and your nomination could mean they're in with a chance of winning a prize that's just as incredible as they are.
