Pantomime auditions for the Central Theatre, Chatham this Christmas

by Lauren Abbott

Children and teenagers are being invited to audition next month for roles in a Kent pantomime

Jordan Productions and the Central Theatre in Chatham are looking for the youngest cast members to join this year's Christmas show Cinderella.

The show stars former EastEnder Lucy Benjamin as the Fairy Godmother and runs from Thursday, December 12 until Sunday, January 5.

Auditions take place on Sunday, September 15.

Producers are looking for two teams of performers with dance skills who must be over eight but under 18.

Hopefuls need to register in advance to join the open auditions by emailing with Chatham in the subject line.

Channel 5's Milkshake's Derek Moran, who was in panto in Tunbridge Wells last year, will also be heading for Chatham this winter and playing Dandini.

The pantomime will be brought to Chatham by the team behind last year’s Dick Whittington and his Cat, which starred Ray Quinn, and promises stunning sets, sensational costumes, slick choreography and live music.
