What are the free £1 World Book Day books in 2020 and how can you exchange a token?

Thousands of £1 World Book Day book tokens will be handed out to children and young people by schools and nurseries in Kent this week.

The mass giveaway enables young bookworms to take their token to a book shop and swap it for an exclusive free World Book Day book. Scroll down to learn more about how to use your token.

There are books for all ages, interests and reading abilities.

For younger audiences there are books featuring characters Bing and Supertato. Whilst top authors such as Greg James and Anthony Horowitz bring fresh installments from Alex Rider and Kid Normal.

1. Bing's Splashy Story

But when they get there, the gang discovers big bite marks in every book! Bookworms have invaded and they chomp through everything and everyone in their path. How will Amelia save all the books – and her friends – before it’s too late?

4. Dog Man

5. Evie in the Jungle

7. Kid Normal and the Loudest Library

  • The World Book Day tokens are valid from Thursday, February 27 until Sunday, March 29, 2020.
