A Disney Store is likely to set up shop in Canterbury city centre in the coming months, it has been revealed.

Though it seems the toys will only be on the shelves for a limited time as the shop plans are on a temporary basis.

A spokesman for the city's Whitefriars's shopping complex confirmed talks are ongoing.

"Our agents are in discussion with Disney and other retailers regarding the former Build-A-Bear Workshop unit in Gravel Walk, which is currently occupied on a temporary let basis by Canterbury Makers.

"Once discussions and all legal matters are concluded we will be happy to announce who the new occupant of the unit will be."

Disney job adverts have been published online, with recruitment bosses being on the lookout for five entertaining shop workers.

Known as 'cast members' the confident staff will have to perform scripted events and welcome every customer with a smile.

Disney Store currently has just one Kent branch which is at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe.
