A magical world of sensory learning and exploration awaits babies joining a very unique series of classes.

From a journey under the sea complete with water, bubbles, bobbing sea creatures and seaweed to a ride through the wild west with songs around a brightly coloured campfire, Baby Sensory classes in Kent offer youngsters under 13 months the opportunity to safely explore and learn more about the world around them.

Designed to stimulate, educate and provide precious memories and bonding opportunities during the all important first year of life, the Baby Sensory programme has won multiple awards since 2008.

The classes, founded by parenting expert Dr Lin Day, provide ideas for play, massage, movement, visual development, hand-eye coordination and music in simple practical ways that can all easily be repeated at home.

Original and traditional songs and rhymes are also used to help develop early communication skills while themed weeks which see the babies swirl through snow, shoot into space and journey through the jungle also help class leaders cover a wide range of subjects and introduce a vast array of sensory objects for the children to explore.

Baby Sensory classes are lively, musical groups

Dr Day explained: “A sensory environment rich in sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures promotes brain growth, increases the capacity for intellectual development and forms the foundation for all future learning.”
