Canterbury’s Under 1 Roof soft play centre to reopen after weather damage shut facility for three months
A soft play centre forced to close for months after suffering extensive water damage during heavy rainfall has reopened.
Under 1 Roof in Canterbury had to shut for repairs in July after a deluge left it unable to operate.
Bosses described the day they closed as “stressful and heartbreaking”.
However, three months on, toddlers can once again enjoy the site in Ashford Road, off the A28.
Under 1 Roof said in a statement: “It’s been a stressful – and costly - journey getting here, but we’re back and better than ever.
“It’s been too long - we’ve missed you all so much.
“We’ve been busy cleaning, fixing, and adding a few exciting updates that we can’t wait for you to see.
“We are so excited to welcome everyone back - just make sure you’ve booked your session.
“We’ll be open all week for half-term fun [and] can’t wait to see you all soon.”
The interactive attraction offers youngsters equipment such as tube slides and ball pits.
It also features a cafe serving food and hot and cold drinks.
The centre in Canterbury is Under 1 Roof’s second in the county, with its other facility based in Pysons Road, Ramsgate.
Outside of half-term, its opening hours are 10am until 5.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
It also trades from 9am to 5.45pm on Saturdays and from 10am until 3pm on a Sunday.
