Kent’s skies are set to sparkle this November as fireworks displays return across the county.
From big bonfires and funfairs to themed events with live music and food stalls, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Bonfire Night. Here’s a round-up of some of the best displays lighting up the skies this autumn…
ASHFORD RUGBY CLUB
It’s a rugby club, so of course there’ll be plenty of real ale available from the bars at this sparkling display. Visitors can also pick up a bite to eat from the food stalls before the fireworks start.

BENENDEN SCHOOL, near Cranbrook
The village fireworks have a new home this year. The new site will host live entertainment, a barbecue, a licensed bar with real ale and soft drinks, a traditional bonfire and fireworks display.

BRANDS HATCH, West Kingsdown
The Trucks and Fireworks event returns for two days of exhilarating races from the British Truck Racing Championship. On Sunday, the explosive fireworks display will be accompanied by a twilight convoy of illuminated trucks on the circuit.

BRIDGE RECREATION GROUND, near Canterbury
Pick up a cup of hot chocolate, wave your glow toys in the air, and get into the community spirit at the Bridge and Patrixbourne School’s display. It’s all organised by the team of professionals at AJ Pyrotechnics.

CENTRAL PARK, Dartford
Kids can enjoy whizzing around the funfair before finding the perfect spot to enjoy Dartford’s glittering fireworks. There will also be a cosy bonfire to get the festivities started on the night.

THE CLARENDON ROYAL, Gravesend
Take a stroll around the private riverside gardens, tuck into tasty food and drinks from the bar, and watch fireworks light up the skies. It’s all to raise money for Age UK Kent Rivers, which supports older people and adults with learning disabilities.

COPPERFIELD ACADEMY, Northfleet
This year’s event comes with its own funfair, food stalls and live entertainment, so there’s plenty to keep the kids busy. The spectacular display is one of the biggest in the area and proves popular every year.

CORNWALLIS ACADEMY, near Maidstone
The county town’s skies will be illuminated with glittering fireworks from Cornwallis’ annual display. There will be a fairground with rides such as dodgems and tea cups, and you can buy a wristband to get you on all of the rides in advance.

DEAL TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB
Local band Pool Club will be getting everyone in the party mood with a live set before the fireworks soar above the stadium. There will also be hot food stalls, sweet treats and a licensed bar.

DUNORLAN PARK, Tunbridge Wells
Crowds are set to descend on this beautiful park for a dazzling night of fireworks and entertainment. Visitors can expect colourful glow toys, food and drink stalls, live music from Rock Choir and DJ sets.

ELIZABETH HARVIE FIELD, near Maidstone
This local display gets bigger every year and, this November, it’s hosted by the award-winning team at Dynamic Fireworks. The display will be set to a string of Ibiza Classics tunes and there will be food and drink available.

EDENBRIDGE RECREATION GROUND
It’s one of the country’s most well-known displays, in no small part thanks to its huge 11m tall effigies. In previous years, figures such as Liz Truss, Donald Trump and Katie Hopkins have been set alight and, although no names have been confirmed for this year, it’s sure to be an unforgettable night.

GREAT FARTHINGLOE FARM, Dover
Start the night by hopping on and off funfair rides and treating yourself to a snack from the foot vendors. Then, you can choose from two displays – the SEN and young children display starts at 6pm and the main display is at 8pm.

HAMPTON PRIMARY SCHOOL, Herne Bay
Hampton’s annual spectacular includes vibrant fireworks, a kids’ fairground, family games and a variety of hot food and drink stalls.

HEXTABLE PARK, near Swanley
This free display is part of the village calendar and draws in decent crowds each year. This time, the theme is old school disco, and the fireworks will be set to a series of dancefloor anthems.

KENT LIFE, Maidstone
Watch mesmerising live fire performances before the countdown to the main event begins. The night will be filled with live entertainment, indoor and outdoor play areas and funfair rides, and the display itself will be set to music.

LEEDS CASTLE, near Maidstone
It’s one of the largest displays in the county, and for good reason. The castle grounds will be transformed into a lively street food market and fairground where visitors can soak up the atmosphere before the fireworks light up the historic site. This year, the display will be choreographed to a setlist of classic love songs.

LYDDEN HILL, near Canterbury
Cheer on the racers as they speed around the floodlit circuit in the final rounds of the 5 Nations British Rallycross Championship. The event’s finale comes in the form of a thunderous firework display above the racetrack.

QUEX PARK, Birchington-on-Sea
A whole night of family fun is in store at this seaside park. There will be funfair rides, roaming characters, fire performers, live music, and a bonfire and small fireworks display before the Halloween-themed extravaganza later in the evening.

RACECOURSE SPORTS GROUND, Tonbridge
Phoenix Fireworks is in charge of this year’s display, which will be fully choreographed to music. There will be food and drink stands from local traders and glow sticks available to buy.

RADNOR HOUSE, Sevenoaks
The children are getting involved with this year’s school fireworks. Pupils will be running the games stalls, which will have tokens available to buy in advance or on the night, and there will also be refreshments on sale.

RARE BREEDS CENTRE, near Ashford
If your children love the sparkle of fireworks but aren’t too keen on the noise, the Rare Breeds Centre is throwing a ‘low bang’ display suitable for everyone. There will be a kids’ disco to kick things off before the main event at 6.30pm.

REUTHE’S LOST GARDEN, Sevenoaks
Now in its third year, the display at Reuthe’s is becoming a firm favourite. This time, the display will take place across two dazzling nights in the woodland park, with live music and a street food court open to visitors.

RYARSH VILLAGE HALL, West Malling
Nearby pub The Swan will be delivering tasty food to the village hall and there will be warming drinks from Cafe2U to keep crowds toasty. The event also includes a fairground, glow sticks and live music from Kinetik.

SEVENOAKS SCOUT HUT
Choose from two separate displays – there’s a quieter display suitable for those with more sensitive ears, and a spectacular main display later that night. Both events will be accompanied by a BBQ and drinks.

THE SHIP INN, Southfleet
It’s never too early for mulled wine. The winter warmer will be on sale, along with hot chocolate, sweets and BBQ food, at the Ship Inn’s thrilling fireworks night. Visitors can also enjoy live music and a friendly atmosphere.

SPITFIRE GROUND, Canterbury
Canterbury’s biggest fireworks display returns to the home of Kent Cricket this November. There will be a charming food village, live music and family-friendly entertainment ahead of the stunning fireworks finale.

STOKE MEDWAY AIRFIELD, near Rochester
This year, the musical fireworks at the airfield have been organised by Phoenix, known for their eye-catching pyrotechnic displays. Inside the bar, crowds can watch live music from rock band No Idea and party hits by Malcolm Walling.

UPCHURCH CRICKET CLUB, near Sittingbourne
This professional display will be synchronised to a playlist of familiar music so you can sing and dance along as the fireworks burst into the skies. There will be an outside bar for the adults and food to suit all tastes.

VIKING BAY, Broadstairs
Get into the groove with live music from alternative pop group Meister and rock ‘n’ roll band The SuperMicks on the clifftop bandstand. The fireworks will take place over Thanet’s glorious Viking Bay, making for a fantastic view.
