Bluewater’s Hangloose Adventure in Greenhithe to see Santas zipline in aid of children’s cancer charity BLAZE
Thrill-seekers will be able to take on the country’s longest zipline - dressed as Father Christmas.
The Santa Flights event at Hangloose Adventure at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Greenhithe, will be held on December 14 to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.
BLAZE was founded by instructors Ellen and Owen Shaw in honour of their sibling Benjamin, who died from a rare and aggressive brain tumour in 2021 at the age of 11.
Hangloose managing director Brian Phelps said: “Our Santa Flight at Bluewater has a really special meaning for the team.
“Blaze Charity was founded by two of our own instructors in memory of their younger brother, so being able to support them and help raise money for such an important cause means a lot to all of us.
“Christmas is about bringing people together and creating lasting memories, and that’s exactly what we wanted to do this year.”
The charity funds research into childhood brain tumours, raises awareness of early symptoms, and provides support, gifts, and experiences for affected families.
Tickets for the event will cost £40, with 50% of all ticket sales being donated to BLAZE.
Among those taking on the 720 metre-long zipline will be kmfm presenters Ben Pearce and Jack Burke, travelling at a speed of up to 50mph.
Tickets can be purchased via the Hangloose Bluewater website here.
Those flying will be provided with Santa suits to wear and will be able to go solo or side-by-side.
There will also be accessible slots for disabled guests or those who need extra assistance, with carers able to take part for free.
